Poppy Seeds - Papaver Rhoeas Shirley Mix F5
- Papaver Rhoeas – Shirley For anyone wanting to include a stunning meadow poppy in their collection, Papaver Rhoeas Shirley is the ideal specimen. Offering stunning hues of orange, pink, salmon, scarlet, white, and bicolor, Shirley is a single petalled poppy perfect for growing in containers, flower borders, or wildflower meadows. Growing to between two and three feet in height, Shirley thrives in most garden soils and puts on a stunning summer show. Starting to flower in June, plants will continue developing blooms up until the first frosts of the year, giving gardeners a long season of color. Planted in large masses in beds or containers Shirley will offer a fantastic bouquet of mixed hues. Alternatively, planted in a meadow, the natural grasses will show these gorgeous flowers off to even better effect than garden planting. Annual in characteristic, Shirley will produce a large number of seeds at the end of the season which can either be allowed to self seed, or collected and stored for later. Sowing should be done in the fall or early spring for best results. With this packet of miniscule seeds, 1/8 tsp is supplied, offering the chance to fill any garden with hundreds of Shirley blooms.
