Poppy Seeds. Meconopsis Cambrica. Welsh Poppy. Perennial flowers. Wildflower of the British Isles. This genus contains some of the most exquisitely beautiful of all flowering plants. They do best in moderately rich, woodland soil- moist yet with perfect drainage. Yellow flowers over attractive fern like foliage on plants that grow from 12 to 18 inches tall. The up to three inch wide flowers have yellow colored stamens that fill the center of the poppy like flowers. Plants bloom from spring into fall with best displays under cool moist conditions but adaptable. Self seeds freely in soils in open shade to part sun. May become weedy under favorable conditions so were climates are cool and moist they should be kept in areas were they can be allowed to colonize over a wide amount of space. Will grow in a wide range of soils from rocky to good garden soil. Plant will fail to grow under hot dry conditions but once plants are established they will tolerate some drought. Special growing instructions included. Plant in Fall or very early Spring. Zones 3-8. E-mail a friend about this item. PAYMENT OPTIONS: Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards accepted.
