Meconopsis horridula prattii. Very Special Blue Poppy. Rich deep blue flowers Spiny foliaged Rosettes. Often flowers the first year. Blooms for about 2 months. Flowers begin on top of tall stems and successively produce blooms lower on the plant until they reach the ground. Monocarpic but quite easy from seed. Plant in Fall or very early Spring. Height- 2 1/2-3 feet. Cool sun - shade. Zones 3-8.
